Hi Everybody, I was reading David Fricke's latest Fricke's Picks column in the latest Rolling Stone and read about some of the recent reissues of what is supposedly cream of the crop Man material from 1971-1974. I have a possible interest in picking up a few of these-espcially the expanded to 3-CD's of Greasy Truckers Party that Frick was particularly raving about. Could some of you kind people please give me a primer on Man and what kind of stuff they played? Do you think I'd like them at all? The Esoteric label has apparently reissued Man, Be Good to Yourself at Least Once a Day, Live at the Padget Rooms, Penarth (expanded to 2-CD's) and Rhinos, Winos and Lunatics as well with bonus tracks. I'd really appreciate being educated on these guys. I have a brother who used to play their stuff back when I was living in the Bay Area back in the '70s. But for the life of me, I can't remember any of it at all.
