(2008-03-04) Ryan Adams/Whiskeytown: Strangers Almanac Deluxe Edition

Ryan Adams’ old band, Whiskeytown, will have a Deluxe Edition treatment applied to it from Geffen Records. The Deluxe Edition will provide the original CD of Strangers Almanac augmenting it with 5 previously unreleased live-in-the-studio radio performances originally heard on KCRW (Santa Monica). The second disc will offer 19 previously unreleased songs from the Strangers Almanac sessions that included their abandoned 1999 Barn’s on Fire album. In addition, there are 2 previously issued songs found on an EP promo and soundtrack contributions. The set will include a 24-page booklet with photos, songography, and extensive Peter Blackstock liner notes. Mark March 4 as the expected release date for this reissue.
