Hey-I got mentioned-awesome! Thanks guys! 39-maybe I should be like Robert Smith and write a great, depressing album about nearing 40. Elvis, David Bowie, Robby Krieger, Soupy Sales and...R Kelly. Ugh. R Kelly in fact was born the same day as me, same year. We don't have the same habits, trust me.
As a kid, every birthday was Elvis all day long from my Dad every year until I got old enough and found out it was also Bowie's birthday-I got my revenge from that point on.
This year's Bowie selection was "Low". Low was not the temp in Philly today-it was 67 degrees today. I did well-the wife got me the Thin Lizzy "Live And Dangerous" CD/DVD import, the Whitesnake "1987" CD/DVD remaster and the last of the Free remasters I needed "Highway", "Free" and "Fire And Water"-what a great, great band.
The kids that come into my coffeehouse also got me a birthday balloon. It wasn't a Luftbaloon though!

Hey, thanks Linda. My arm still feels horrible, but the wife took me to my favorite Italian restaraunt and it was awesome-I ate every gnocchi I saw, and there were plenty (if you know what they are)! Now, I will eat some of that cake you got for me.
For my birthday, I would very much like an Eagles win on Sunday, but well, we'll see. Thanks for remembering anyway!
Thanks as well, Jimbo. Believe me, I got some more CDs for my birthday, adding to the ones from Christmas-I won't stop until they don't make them anymore!

Linda, thanks of that cake-that had to have been painful as a Mets fan!
We had an amazing dinner-I am stuffed with gnocchi and saw Avatar and I got yet more music both to watch and read about.
Now I need an Eagles win tomorrow (probably not gonna happen), like last year at this time.
Anyway, thanks to you and the others!

Happy birthday IP (sorry I'm late to this). Hope you had a blast.
I'll keep my fingers crossed for your Eagles, though I'm not optimistic here. Even though they (usually) move the ball well and score tons of points, their defense is much weaker than it was last year (probably because of the tragic death of d-coordinator Jimmy Johnson).
