David Pakman eMusic "Wisely's new album presents the best possible face of rock/pop music today: smart, beautifully melodic, and rhythmically diverse. He builds on his years of honing the fine art of songwriting and shows great confidence with his voice. I love it, and if you like great pop/rock, you will too." James Combs Producer New Ground KCRW Wisely has a special gift for the evocative pop hook and emotional turn of phrase. Like Neil Finn, Willie is able to raise the medium to an impressive level of artfulness and insight, with songs that feel at once classic and singular. The new album "Wisely" is filled with gems that should be all over the radio: "Cracked World View", "Through Any Window", "California", "Nothing But Wind". He's also a consummate showman who knows how to connect with an audience. And hey, how many other independent artists could get one of the biggest stars on TV - Jenna Fischer from "The Office" to appear in his music video simply because she loves his music? From the Artist "Wisely" co produced with drummer Petur Smith (The Januaries, Jason Falkner), and musical contributions from Rusty Anderson (Paul McCartney), Joshua Grange (Dwight Yoakam), Rick Boston (Low Pop Suicide), Kalle Gustafsson Jerneholm (The Soundtrack Of Our Lives), and Ludwig Boss (Boss, Ray Wonder). 1. On My Way 2. Cracked World View 3. Tokyo Arbor 4. Unfamiliar 5. California 6. It's Gonna Be Beautiful 7. Nothing But Wind 8. Ella 9. Vanilla 10. Only Losing Me 11. Through Any Window 12. Great album, picked it up through Not Lame late last year. "Through Any Window" must be a rerecording, I recall it being on an earlier Wisley release.
