I somehow missed out on this band when they were together. I discovered them after seeing Heidi Rodewald playing in The Negro Problem and looking into her history.

For those of you in New York (or, like me, going to travel to New York), Stew (leader of TNP) and Heidi will be performing in Passing Strange on Broadway. It's scheduled to go into previews in February and open in March at the Belasco.
I saw an early version of this in Berkeley last year, and found it powerful yet a little unusual for a stage show. However, since I personally think Stew is a musical genius, I knew the play would make an impact.

I'm really excited to see this actually making it to Broadway. I've seen Stew/TNP about 120 times in Los Angeles, and will make at least one trip to NY to see this.

I forgot to mention this in my last post. Former singer Kristi Callan now fronts a Los Angeles based all-female Cheap Trick cover band called Cheap Chick.
