Bannings: If you're not nice
Dan put me on to this deal at AmazWAN, it's currently 70% off (save $140!) and definitely Christmas present worthy:

My George Foreman Grill isn't as nice as that one, but it's incredibly useful. Makes cooking and cleanup *much* easier.

Yeah, the George Foreman grill is a small marvel -- I use mine all the time. That, and Bird's Eye frozen vegetables, and the single cookless guy need never eat shabbily again.

But oh, the black pit of despair that is the abyssal loneliness. Why did she spurn me? Ahhhh, if I only had a gun...

Sorry. Been reading Goethe again.

We have the big stand up version. It was a gift from my Dad, and we use it ALL the time.
You don't get all the fun of lighter fluid, and charcoal briquettes, but it is easy to use, and clean up.

I love grilled George Formans!
Especially with a garlic/parsley garnish, Spuds and onions, and an ice cold 40 oz St Ides.

We needed a new one of these as our George Foreman is on its last legs, just like George himself. :) Thanks for the link.

Mine showed up today. I'm impressed with how quick it is. I made a burger with a frozen patty. The included directions said 9 minutes, I went for 7 and it was slightly overdone. I'll try 5 next time. I threw a slice of onion next to it and it was nice and soft and not dried out at all, like when I throw one on the BBQ.

Later in the evening I did a grilled cheese. 2 1/2 minutes, and the wavy squishing did not detract from the tastiness.

Oh, and I just checked...It's back down to $50.

I got 2. One for me and another to give. Should be here sometime this week. Thanks for the heads up.

Out of curiousity, does the imwan referral link benefit the forum in some way?

Yes. IMWAN gets a small stipend from Amazon when you purchase anything through the links posted in this forum. So, thank you Mike!

I'm halfway through a medium-rare NY steak I made on my GFG. Two years in, and I use it now more than when I got it.

Oh, and here's how I make a burger on it now: preheat, throw on frozen patty and season. 2 minutes, flip, 1 minute, throw bun on the grill sliced-side-up, 1 minute more, andyerdone. If the patty is fresh, skip that middle minute.

9 minutes? Only if you want a hockey puck.

Alas, a week shy of four years old, my Foreman Grill has given up the ghost. I turn it on, the timer works, counting down the 5-minute warmup, but it stays cold, top and bottom.

I think I got my money's worth, though.
