Have seen this two disc collection of Dickey Betts' post-Allman Bros solo albums in Newbury's recently. Has anyone heard these albums, Let's Get Together and The Collectors #1 and can comment on whether they're any good or not??

I have it and it's just ok. The first album-Let's get together was originally released maybe a year or two ago. It is more jazzy than you would think with Betts. The second disc is mostly acoustic. If I had to do it over again, I would probably pass on this but since I have it I'm just saving it until I have enough to sell to the local record store.

It's an import two-fer on the Acadia label. I can't speak for the music itself, but as far as sound quality Acadia tends to do good, solid remastering in a similar vein to England's other two-fer reissue label, BGO.

p.s. is it "collector's I or II"

All of the retail listings have it as "Collectors II", but if you blow up the cover image you'll see that the title is actually how Chris referred to it, "The Collectors #1".
