It'll be nice to add a new character to my own collection for a change. (I've had several recent orders for models from a gamer who uses them in his Champions game, and it's good to be busy. But I haven't had much time to get any eBay requests finished, let alone spending time making figs for myself!)

Union Jack. This fig was intended to represent Brian Falsworth, the Union Jack who served with the Invaders. Apparently there's a new Union Jack out there now. (Gotta spend more time on research!)

X-23. X-23 Wolverine clone. Another modern character that I had a request for.

I love that original X-Men set. I am totally impressed. Of course, the Archangel wings are glorious to behold, but the original set just is nice to see.

There was quite a bit of confusion at my local hobby store last week when I made a comment about the "new" X-men. I was talking about the characters who came in when the original team disbanded except for Cyclops. But my audience didn't even know there ever was a pre-Wolverine and Nightcrawler X-Men...

Lockheed the Dragon. Kitty Pryde's pet dragon. I figured that as long as it was open season on HeroClix brood...

Darren wrote: Awesome! Thank you. This was my first attempt at a multi-figure HeroClix model. I wasn't totally satisfied with the result, but then when I look at my figs all I can see is the flaws in them, whereas when I look at other peoples' work, all I can see is how cool they look. Reason I mention it is that I'm working on a Nighthawk fig now (Squadron Supreme version) and I've reached the point where I'm going to have to sculpt in some detail with putty to finish the model. Working with putty isn't my strong suit by any means. I know that's going to add a lot of time, the end result probably won't sell for one cent more than the simple repaint it is now, and I may actually ruin the fig with the attempt. I almost left the fig as is and listed it on eBay. I'm really glad I didn't though. I figure that if I reach the point of just knocking out figs for a buck, better find something else to do with my time! Okay end of soapbox ramble. Thanks for listening!

Thought a few of y'all might appreciate getting a look at my latest custom HeroClix, Giant Man, from Avengers #2! Built from a Yellowjacket: I had to strip the wings and the antennae, and the little "yellowjacket" off his chest. Also, notice the difference in the gloves; Giant Man has smooth, pointy gloves, and YJ has the flared, cool ones. As far as the paint job goes, I took a little liberty after exhaustive research into what Jack actually drew on his back (see panel one). Giant Man only had the big SPOT on his chest for this issue; next issue (and even some places in THIS issue) it becomes the racing stripes. He never did draw anything on his back (see panel five and the cover), when he is seen from the back, but the big stripe clearly runs all the way over his shoulder. Sooo, much like Jack, I painted what I thought looked best! I mimicked the same design on the backside. At the end, I realised I should've substituted out his YJ base, and used Atlas' base, with no "stings" since G-M wasn't really using that technology yet (neither was the Wasp, IIRC). BUT, I'll save that for the next one, and the cool blue and gold one I'm starting now.

Squadron Supreme pt 1: Nighthawk and Skrull. Well, Nighthawk turned out about like I figured. Least I can say I tried!! Doing the more obscure Squadron members like Skrull is fun. (Everybody's pretty much done Hyperion by now, haven't they?) Hopefully I'll have more Squadron figs to post soon.

Kitty Pryde's second costumed identity: Ariel. I wanted to do a Clix figure that wasn't throwing a punch or a fireball. It took bits from six different models to get the pose right.

My daughter is a huge Wolverine fan, and she's been after me to repaint a fig for her. There's a slight bit of conversion here, so I didn't post this on the repaints thread.

Welcome, Ryan! You should fill folks in on the story behind Bishop.

By request, here is the story on my Bishop Mod. He is actually my first mod. When I pulled my Veteran Bishop it was missing the left hand. I used him like that for a while, but always wanted to "fix" him. Richard came up with this really cool hero clix bank, so I had access to most of the figures made. I looked at the posters, and talked with Darren and a few others at the comic box, and found the Kingpin. I amputated his hand and grafted it with the cigar onto Bishop, it took a few minutes, but it looks neat, and got me into modding.
I've posted all my current mods, but I'm planning to make Jubilee, Chamber, and Ricochet (The self-discribed Spiderman wannabe originally from the "Slingers" and just recently in several guest spots in the "Runaways" series. Not really sure how i'll make them, any suggestions would be great.

Ryan, For my Jubilee (posted earlier on in this thread), I used the Lex Corp Security figure for the coat (cutting down the sleeves).

Not really sure how i'll make them, any suggestions would be great. I haven't read any Generation X, so I wasn't familiar with Chamber before doing an online search. Three of the five outfits I found for him featured trenchcoats, and the only "common" (REV) male figs that I'm familiar with that have trenchcoats are the Blade models from Infinity Challenge and Mutant Mayhem. I think that the real challenge with Chamber will be the folds masking his lower face. There are any number of ninja/rouge figs out there with that feature, but all of them I could find either have a hood or mask over the upper face as well. You might consider the route of using the lower half of a ninja head and matching it with a more appropriate upper half from another figure. Good luck with the conversion!

Really like your Spidergirl. (The proportions on her webshooters are better than my version for sure!)

Squadron Supreme pt 3: Black Archer and Shape. (Originally I had a really nice looking bowstring modeled on the Black Archer fig. But it fell off every time I subjected the model to a "grab and shake" durability test.)
