Just a quick reminder that MidOhioCon is coming up in just three short weeks! Whew!

You can read all about it at http://www.midohiocon.com.

I'll be there...will you?

If you get a chance, find me one of those Charlton Portfolios with the B & W prints(Byrne did one of them, I just don't remember which one).

I thought you were the one. Roger is going to bring some, I believe. It's not just a print though. The CP is a book, with whole stories. JB inking Steve Ditko, IIRC. There is a Roger Stern Portfolio though, where JB contributed one print.

If you have any copies of that Darkman story you wrote, can I request you bring some to Mid-Ohio? My shop somehow never ordered it for me.

Dave is mostly correct. The Charlton Portfolio includes Ditko's previously unpublished BLUE BEETLE #6, as well as art by Dick Giordano, Pete Morisi (PAM), Frank McLaughlin, Warren Sattler, Don Maitz, Joe Staton, Jim Aparo, Pat Boyette, Don Newton, Dave Cockrum, and John Byrne...among other stuff. (JB didn't ink Ditko until issues #1 & 2 of the Charlton Bullseye.)

My own personal portfolio is called Collaborations. It features new characters created (and owned) by Yours Truly and drawn by Br'er Byrne, June Brigman & Terry Austin, Tom Lyle, Wendy Pini, Ron Frenz & Karl Kesel, and Jerry Ordway.

I still have some copies of each, and will bring them along if anyone is interested. The Charlton Portfolio is $10 and Collaborations is $20.

I'll try to pack a few of those as well.

Is there anything else from the Stern Checklist that MidOhioCon-goers would be interested in acquiring from Uncle Rog?

(Be advised that I don't have a lot of doubles of comics that I've worked on...and my cargo space is not limitless.)

I thought there was another one, that would be great. Let me know when you get them and I'll take care of payment and shipping then.

:yay:

I also missed your recent Atom story. Screw up at the comic shop. I'm sure I can find it in Columbus, but I'd buy it from you personally first.

In case anyone is interested, MidOhioCon's program schedule is now up here: http://www.midohiocon.com/programs.shtml.

Yours truly is scheduled for this panel on Saturday the 24th:

Quote:
1:00 pm
MARVEL MEN OF BRONZE
It was a time of change in the comics industry: new creators, new styles, new excitement. It's a celebration of the Bronze Age of Comics - the startling '70s and energetic '80s - with Rich Buckler, Gary Friedrich, Michael Golden, Tony Isabella, Arvell Jones, Keith Pollard, Roger Stern, Herb Trimpe, and Ron Wilson.

Seeing some of the guests make me upset that TRF extended being open the weekend of MOC, maybe I'll make the trek up to MOC again one year.

Saw Rog at the SHOW today. I got a sneak peek at the art for the new JLA series, and it looks really good. I'm looking forward to readin them come January.

Had a great time, as always, but it's good to be home.
