JUST GOT THE NEW CD/DVD FIRST BARBARIANS KILBURN 74 SET THAT WAS JUST RELEASED FROM AMAZON. THE DVD IS ALL SCREWED UP; BREKS UP, B&W TO COLOR, SOUND DROP OUTS.
I TRIED IT ON MY ALL REGIONS DVD PLAYER AND MY U.S. DVD PLAYER; BOTH WITH THE SAME RESULTS.

ANYBODY ELSE HAVE THIS PROBLEM?

This is the release that Prinny's talking about. It's an import with an allegedly NTSC/Region 0 DVD ~ I wonder if they messed up the DVD portion since NTSC isn't a native format to them:

From the Artist
"When I made my first album in 1974 at the Wick studios in Richmond there was never any time to lose and this record was made on quite a speedy process by many of my extremely talented friends. We took the songs from the record straight onto stage. This album is the result of what happened when we first took the music of "I've Got My Own Album To Do" public. Thus the First Barbarians were born. I'm very proud of the work Jesse, Jamie and Katy have done in restoring this, originally humbly filmed and recorded documentation of that night at the Kilburn State." - Ronnie Wood

Product Description
Two disc (CD + NTSC/Region 0 DVD) set recorded and filmed live in London in 1974 at a concert in support of Ronnie Wood's first solo album, 'I've Got My Own Album To Do' Ronnie Wood was, at the time, a member of the Faces as well as a solo artist, and he was soon to become the 'new boy' in the Rolling Stones. Wood's band on this live outing featured many of the musicians who helped him on the album, including Rolling Stones guitarist Keith Richards, Small Faces/Faces keyboardist Ian McLagan and the exceptional talents of session musicians Willie Weeks (bass) and Andy Newmark (drums). Also features a guest appearance from the Faces' vocalist Rod Stewart. Both the CD and DVD feature an exclusive track with digitally remastered audio and video from Ronnies personal archive. The release includes an eight-page booklet with hand written liner notes by Ronnie Wood and previously unseen photos.

I've had so much to think about concerning music releases that this is the first that I can recall hearing of this. If it's so bad for a DVD, why doesn't Ronnie release this as a CD as well? I'm going to go and check the Wooden Records website and see if there is a write-up on this. The cover art appears to be derivative (similar in design) of the earlier CD for the New Barbarians show we got late last year from Largo, Maryland '79.

I went to the wooden records website and contacted customer service.
This is the reply I received concerning the apparent faulty dvd disc. And I do mean you really think there is something wrong with the dvd.

Hi Jay

That's the style that Ronnie chose the edit the concert in.

We have used a combination of colour footage (which is what the bootleggers have had for years) and black + white footage which is from Ronnies personal archive.

The sound is only different in one track as the recording was lifted from a different live cd.

Thank you

Jay here again, I guess an old video breaking up with lines through it going from color to black and white is a piece of art to Ron.
Only through an artists eyes I guess.........
Still the concert is great, but seek out the bootleg. There is a pristine color version of this concert floating around.
