This is scheduled for US release as well as a double DVD-supposedly in November-I read that in an interview with the band in USA Today last month.

Even though a really nice person made me a copy of the Prague CD, I'll still be buying this CD and DVD set.

Yes, but those are weak-sounding soundboard recordings, and this is a fully produced live album.

But, depending on how much of a live album purist you might be, an "un-produced" soundboard recording might be more desirable than a possibly overdubbed, tweaked and fixed official catalog release.

If you got your live Genesis CD after the gig, at least you can be assured that no "sweetening" occured after the fact.

I should be recieving a Genesis DVD after this tour ends because I joined their fan club a couple of months ago. It will interesting if it will be this DVD.

I did and it's not that great-very bare bones sounding and not something I was happy with-although my friend Craig was nice enough to burn me a copy so I didn't pay for it. It was OK, but not worth what they're charging. I've found the same with many of these quickly cranked-out "Instant Live" CDs. I got one at The Cult show last year in AC and it's pretty damn lousy sound-quality wise.

I have a couple of Allman Bros. and KISS Instant Live discs and they sounded pretty good to me.

I have no interest in the Genesis live stuff anyway, but I would probably go for the official release, as it's most likely culled from different sources - hopefully for the best possible representation of their current live show.

And, here is all the info for this release. The tour was great and I will be purchasing both the CD and DVD. And, the next boxset of course. This has been an amazing year for Genesis fans!
From Billboard.com:

Genesis takes a trip down memory lane on "Live Over Europe," which chronicles the first portion of the band's reunion tour. Due Nov. 20 via Atlantic, the double-disc set includes a number of songs the band hadn't performed in decades.

Among them are Peter Gabriel-era tunes such as closer "Carpet Crawlers," "Firth of Fifth" and "I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe)." The group also dusted off the two-part instrumental "Duke's Intro" and oldies like "Home by the Sea" and "Ripples."

The band's Phil Collins-led hitmaking period is represented by tracks such as "Turn It on Again," "Follow You Follow Me," "Invisible Touch," No Son of Mine" and "Land of Confusion." Also included is a double drum solo sequence featuring Collins and Chester Thompson.

Genesis wrapped its tour Oct. 14 in Los Angeles. Also on Nov. 20, Rhino will issue a 12-disc boxed set featuring expanded editions of the group's albums from 1983-1998.

Here is the track list for "Live Over Europe":

Disc one:
"Duke's Intro"
- "Behind the Lines"
- "Duke's End"
"Turn It on Again"
"No Son of Mine"
"Land of Confusion"
"In the Cage"
- "The Cinema Show"
- "Duke's Travels"
"Afterglow"
"Hold on My Heart"
"Home by the Sea"
"Follow You Follow Me"
"Firth of Fifth"
"I Know What I Like (In Your Wardrobe)"

Disc two:
"Mama"
"Ripples"
"Throwing It All Away"
"Domino"
"Conversations With Two Stools"
"Los Endos"
"Tonight, Tonight, Tonight"
"Invisible Touch"
"I Can't Dance"
"Carpet Crawlers"

Mine arrived in today's mail. Stupid cardboard package, almost guaranteed to scuff up the CDs when you try to get them out of the sleeve.

I was in a FYE and Virgin Megastore tonight.
Both stores has this Genesis 2CD set in jewel cases, within a slipcase.

Two different things. Live Over Europe, available at retail, is packaged in a jewel box, with slipcase. I meant the MSG show from the Encore series, available online only from Themusic.com. Each show on the tour is being released as a separate CD.
