M. Stern,

You have stated that you had further plans for the WCA as part of the regular Avengers title until Marvel decided to spin them off and give the reins to Engleheart...

Can you share any of the plans you had for the team? Any villains you wanted them to fight? What did you have in mind for Hawkeye? Wonder Man?

Thanks in advance!

It's been awhile, but...the Thing was going to bunk at the Compound until he returned to the FF...and then She-Hulk would have moved west, where she would no doubt have been constantly razzing non-native Hawkeye over his lack of familiarity with California. Once Tony Stark returned as Iron Man, there would be friction with Hawkeye as to who would be running things at the Compound. Come to think of it, Hawkeye would have been getting grief from just about everyone,,,including his bride.

And there was going to be a major story with Wonder Man and Tigra crash-landing in the Rockies during the middle of a blizzard and having to fight their way out.

But mainly, heroes from both coasts were going to be mixed and matched into special squads. The stories that appeared in the Avengers after #254 would all have been a bit different. Some would still have started in New York, and others in California. My Kang/Immortus story, for instance, would have involved heroes from both coasts.

And maybe some of that happened in some other reality.

Those sound like fun story ideas, I am sorry we never had a chance to see them!

Very cool!

M. Stern - who would Wonder man and Tigra be fighting in that story you mentioned? Just the elements or a specific villain?

Is Wonder Man affected by cold? I thought he was more or less indestructible.
