Kula Shaker - We Reveal Details Of Their Strangefolk Album
Kula Shaker are to release their new album towards the end of August, following the tour they have planned for later this month.
The Indian-inspired indie band will release Strangefolk on August 20th 2007 in the UK, and the LP also happens to be their first new album in 8 years - the last time we heard from the group was with 1999's Peasants, Pigs, and Astronauts.
Speaking of the record, Kula Shaker front man Crispian Mills says, "In many ways, I think the world is a much more exciting place than it was 10 years ago. War, oppression, mass communication, ridiculously skinny jeans, that's what rock n' roll thrives on."
"We were inspired to make another album. The time was right. It's a time for musical independence, the power is going back to the artists. It's up to each of us what we make of the opportunity." Mills added.
