Anybody get a look at the unaired pilot contained on disc one? I find this very insightful. One of the "heroes" in Heroes was going to be a 9-11 hijacker who "fell in love" with someone and then chickened out before the attack went down. I can see what Kring was attempting to do here by rooting it in the real world, but I have to come down on the side of the network on this one. As good as Heroes is at depicting a realistic world, it is still escapist fiction for me... and I get enough material on terrorism from the rest of the media.

I particularly enjoyed the "making of" segment where they showed the cast at the 2006 San Diego Comicon. A fan asked Masi Oka if he really knew Japanese or if he was just speaking it for the show and his reply was in Japanese (he jokingly ended the answer by saying in English "And that's how the season ends").

Another thing I noticed is that the actor who plays Mohinder Suresh has a much deeper voice when he isn't playing Mohinder. That kind of threw me for a loop.

I've watched the whole series already, so I'm hesitant to buy this, knowing I'll only likely watch it one time. Probably blockbuster online for it.

Hawkins that isn't featured in the broadcast version. Also on deck are some 50 deleted scenes from the episodes, several by-the-books making-of featurettes, including coverage of the special effects and stunt work, and a profile of artist Tim Sale, whose illustrations are used for Isaac Mendez's prophetic artwork.
