With "How Long" released 10 weeks before the album's due date, I wonder if a second single will be issued before Oct 30th.

If there is, why do I have a feeling they would be "Fast Company", "Do Something", and "No More Cloudy Days". All songs from the Walmart disc...

I saw a copy of this the other day. Is it worth it? (anybody?)

As an Eagles record or just a decent record by a decent band? Two different questions.

Thanks. Didn't want to waste the $$$.

"How Long" is actually a song the band used to perform in their live shows in the early 1970's. It is a JD Souther song.

The site that has THE MOST COMPLETE info on all things Eagles, is eaglesfans.com It is run by two fans (Lisa & Melissa), and one of them has a friend who works for Henley, so their info is pretty solid. Check the following link to get an update on the new album:

marvin,

nice site, thank you.

I think you're right about the 3 songs ("Fast Company", "Do Something" and "No More Cloudy Days"), however, I know that Henley and Frey said that these wouldn't be included on the new disc, so who knows.

I hope The Eagles break the Wal-Mart exclusive deal. For those who haven't heard, Wal-Mart & Menu Foods have taken recalled poisoned bags of pet food, placed a new sticker over the UPC, & put them up for sale in (at least) Atlanta area Wal-Marts.

They're now saying that it's old packaging with new food, but there are several reports of sick animals from this food.

I personally feel the need for a 100% boycott.

It was reported that the Eagles had 20 tracks recorded for this album, and it appears they are using ALL 20 songs.
This will be a TWO disc set.

The bad news is the freebie WalMart 3-track sampler CD (that came with the Farewell 1 Tour - Live From Melbourne DVD) is now no longer worth much - all three tracks will appear on Long Road Out of Eden.

from Billboard.com--

Eagles Double Up On 'Long Road Out Of Eden'

Jonathan Cohen, N.Y.

The Eagles' new album, "Long Road Out of Eden," will be a double-disc affair, Billboard.com has learned. The 20-song set is due Oct. 30 exclusively via Wal-Mart and Sam's Club stories in North America, as well as the band's Web site.

A physical copy of the group's first studio album in 28 years will be priced at $11.88; digitally, it will cost a dollar less. Fans who pre-order "Long Road Out of Eden" through the Wal-Mart, Sam's Club or Eagles Web sites will receive an immediate download of the album's first single, "How Long."

Album tracks include the seven-minute "Waiting in the Weeds" and "Last Good Time in Town," the 10-minute-plus title cut and the Glenn Frey-penned "No More Cloudy Days," which previously appeared on the 2005 live DVD "Farewell 1 Tour -- Live From Melbourne."

The Eagles will be back on stage in October during a six-night stand with the Dixie Chicks as part of the opening of the new Nokia Theatre L.A. Live in downtown Los Angeles. An extensive tour will follow next year.

Here is the track list for "Long Road Out of Eden":

Disc One:
"No More Walks in the Wood"
"How Long"
"Busy Being Fabulous"
"What Do I Do With My Heart"
"Guilty of the Crime"
"I Don't Want To Hear Anymore"
"Waiting in the Weeds"
"No More Cloudy Days"
"Fast Company"
"Do Something"
"You Are Not Alone"

Disc Two:
"Long Road Out of Eden"
"I Dreamed There Was No War"
"Somebody"
"Frail Grasp on the Big Picture"
"Last Good Time in Town"
"I Love To Watch a Woman Dance"
"Business As Usual"
"Center of the Universe"
"It's Your World Now"

$11.88 is extremely cheap for this CD.

they want to use this to get you in the store.

go there, but the CD and not one other thing, not even a toostie roll pop. wal-mart tracks this stuff, stick it to them.

I thought the same thing. For a double cd, this is a fabulous price considering a band like the Eagles could have easily charged more. I think that they realize given the cheap price of downloading, they had to keep the price close to what iTunes would charge.

Im disappointed that they decided to include the three songs from the Walmart feebie disc. I would've rather had them leave them off the new CD

You can always get it by mail and not have to go into the store.
