>> On July 27, 1990, Johnny Cash took his revue to The Paramount Theatre in Asbury Park, New Jersey, and performed a truly unique and wonderful concert, captured on multi-tracks that lay dormant until recently mixed and edited for this near hour-long CD. Terrific performances of his greatest hits are here I Walk The Line, Ring Of Fire, etc. A wonderfully upbeat Cash and wife June Carter Cash’s stories and introductions punctuate the music; June contributes a boisterous Jackson duet with Johnny; local songstress Lucy Clark duets on the first performance anywhere at the time of Johnny’s What Is Man?; and the singer performs the only recorded version anywhere of the classic gospel song Wonderful Time Up There. A great lost performance is found. <<

Audio samples and a complete tracklisting are available at Amazon:

I know this is "out" now but it is not at any store in the Atlanta area. Does it being on Island have anything to do with the lack of distribution. When I have asked at Stupid City or Best Bought Elsewhere, all I get is blank stares.

I know it will show up eventually, but just curious if any other JC fans have had a hard time finding this as well.

Thanks

Rich

This won't be of any use to you, Rich  , but the Virgin Megastore in Union Square, NYC (and presumably the one in Times Square) has it for $10. I bought one today, however I haven't had a chance to listen to it yet.

I picked it up at a local Walmart along with the new Kissology set. I hadn't been to Walmart since the first Kissology came out as I despise that place for a multitude of reasons but went ahead and picked up the new Cash live album along with the new Elvis release with the exclusive-to-Walmart bonus disc along with Kissology II.

It really did make me feel kinda dirty.

I bought this release from Amazon and it came right away. I've given it one listen so far, and the performance is very nice but to my ears the sound quality is a bit harsh. The guitar is brittle and thin sounding and the vocals are a little hot.

Still, it's quite acceptable for Cash fans; I'll take any interesting documents on Johnny, and this certainly qualifies. I wouldn't recommend it for general fans.
