Thanks, Jimbo - for that truly odd blast from the past. When Klaus hit those high notes, he inhabited his own genre.

Yeah, Klaus was quite the original.
Be sure to check out the somewhat flawed, but still worthwhile documentary The Nomi Song.
And if you can find it, Klaus made an interesting appearance with David Bowie on Saturday Night Live around 1980.

If Klaus wasn't so achingly earnest, his whole act wouldn't work. As it is, I can't listen to his singing without laughing out loud--and I mean that as a compliment.

You should check out the Klaus Nomi documentary "Nomi Song". It's a pretty interesting watch.
