I read Essential Super-Villain Team-Up awhile ago. It seemed to me that the Shroud was intended as kind of a parody. For his origin, Englehart deliberately combined elements of the origins of Batman, Dr. Doom and Daredevil! I do wonder what Englehart would have done with the character on a long-term basis.

Has the Shroud appeared at all in recent years? As far as I know, he's been strictly relegated to the 70's nostalgia realm!
