I'm really excited about this...

Image

here's the setlist from that concert in Paris (from countingcrowsdb.com):

Anna Begins (Goodnight Elisabeth intro/alt)
Omaha
Jumping Jesus
Margery
Perfect Blue Buildings (sometimes it snows in April)
Round Here (Private Archipelago and random)
Rain King
Time and Time Again (You look familiar baby intro/alt)
Mr. Jones (acoustic)
Ghost Train
Children in bloom
Murder Of One (15 minute)
Wiseblood
Sullivan Street
Maggie May
Ghost In You (acoustic)

I hope they put the whole show on there. Some great songs in the set that never made it onto a Crows album (Wiseblood, for example). 4 of the Paris songs eventually made it on to b-sides of singles: Ghost Train, Sullivan Street, A Murder of One, and Round Here. The majority of the show was never released.

Well this is great news, that is one of my favorite albums, i am looking forward to hearing more from that time period. I had picked up an import cd single or two to get the live b-sides.
I seem to remember this being on the list of planned deluxe edition cds a long time ago.

Disappointed not to see a studio version of the title track included.

This is a strange album for me...I really liked it when it came out...but over the years I have not played it often...actually, whenever I go through the collection looking for stuff to dump - i.e. cds I purchased just for one song -- I always select this disc to get rid of. But I also relisten to every disc before I sell it. And then I always decide to keep it - not to listen to it again until the next go around of purging.

Got this from BMG Club the other day. The live disc is really good. I also have always liked the orginal album.
