Sometimes really good stuff doesn't get its share of the limelight like some other really good stuff does.
This past weekend I picked up Batman: Thrillkiller tpb, an Elseworlds tale where Barbara Gordon was the first to don the mantle of the Bat and enlisted Dick during the early sixties in a very corrupt Gotham. Bruce himself is, along with Jim Gordon, the last good cop in town. The whole thing had a really cool "mod" vibe through it and was an interesting spin on the Batman mythos, especially the redesigned costumes-- best Batgirl costume since the first Barbara Gordon suit. Anyway, the painted art's really nice and if you like Howard Chaykin, it's a can't miss.
So, any little yarns you guys would like to throw out that you don't feel get enough recognition?

Loved those Minis!
The Mrs was zany for the artwork, and flipped when we met Brereton at a con.
He was really nice. Signed the books, chatted, all the while sketching this really hot goth chick in who was decked out in varying pieces of leather, lace, stripes and fishnet.
I let the Mrs blather on about the art, while I enjoyed the view!

Just this weekend I was telling Monk about THE WEIRD. An interesting sorta-cosmic tale featuring, oddly enough, the Giffen/Maguire Justice League and a couple of members of Infinity, Inc.
Jim Starlin and Berni Wrightson. An oldie but a goodie.

Peter David Visionaries: The Incredible Hulk vol 3 and 4 are pretty much the whole "Las Vegas Leg-Breaker Era" for the Hulk. Great stuff.
