"Through the magic alchemy of nature's most awesome sources of energy"?
Well, neither magic nor alchemy have jack shit to do with the Atom's powers, but okay.

Sometimes I skip the middle man and just use the needle on the small children directly.

I think that they're referring to how the wonders of nature can appear to be magical. In this case, a grown man shrinking to sub-atomic levels, which is pretty "magical".
You can stop pissing on my childhood now and return to the wormhole, "prophet".

Heh. Nice to have all of these on one page. I thought we had heard most of these before, but it's nice to see them all here.

I miss Ted Knight (the actor).
I saw him on an episode of Twilight Zone over the holiday... he played an awesome jerk.

I don't think Sisko is a Prophet any more in the novels, but I don't read (or count) them.
If you use a decent detergent on your childhood, Kurt, that piss smell will come right out.

I see a Shogun Warrior and Spidey in that dancing avatar, Kevin, but who are the other two characters?

The novels are excellent.
(And while Sisko did return to Bajor in the novel UNITY, he has not returned to Starfleet. He is still "connected" to the Celestial Temple and has finally embraced his role as the Emissary. In that sense, he is still a prophet.)
