Best joke in the movie, that bit when Clark Kent gives the "phone booth" a dirty look.
And I also love the fact that Superman catches Lois Lane in such a way that would not kill her. (He travels downward with her a little bit, cushioning her descent. Physics and all that.)
Yes, the landing platform of the copter would have broken off in real life, but guess what? It's not real life! It's a movie about Superman!
The score alone makes the whole thing worth it. (I say this as a former French horn virtuoso.)

I'm just glad that they left out the proposed scene in which Superman walks past Telly Savalas, who was supposed to say "Who loves ya, baby?" to him.
In fact, I think I read somewhere that the 'bad outfit' scene replaced the Telly Savalas one.
