rumors are growing in intensity for the fourth season of Doctor Who....

Spoiler: show
...specifically that at the end of the fourth season, that Stephen Moffatt will replace RTD and that not only will David Tennant leave, in the season finale but that he'll regenerate into James Nesbitt from the BBC drama "Jekyll" that's premiering saturday night on BBC America. Moffatt and Nesbitt are good friends who've obviously worked together before and it's a real possibility that this might be the next incarnation of Who with Doctor # 11. Should be interesting if true.....

Man, I hope the second half of that isn't true.

Me too. I find that prick irksome enough to turn over the TV whenever he is on.

I have been hoping that when RTD leaves, that Steve Moffatt & Sue Vertue would take over.

Like everyone else, I want Tennant to do at least five seasons, if not eight.

I would like to see, however, a new console room. Something whiter & brighter, but still big. I think it would be teh awesome to have it not even really be a room, just a white set, like from The Mind Robber or Warrior's Gate, with the console in the middle, a door to outside a few yards to the left, and another door to the TARDIS interior a few yards to the right.

A 19-year-old Wendy Padbury in a sequined catsuit laying on the console would be optional but greatly appreciated.

Having watched only a couple of episodes of the pre-RTD Who, I'd really like to see some variety in the longterm companions. I know we've had Mickey and Captain Jack, but those were only for a few episodes a piece.

I haven't seen the possible new guy in anything yet but I'll remind you that if he's playing the Doctor, it'll obviously be him in a different light altogether and I trust Moffatt as mush as I do RTD when it comes to quality. I hope the dislike of this guy isn't THAT rampant. I guess I'll see him in action in that other show.....

as for the console room, I've got no problems with it or how the companions have been brought in and out. The revolving door policy will help to establish some consistency when comes time for regenration. but I also would like a young miss Padbury back lounging on the concole.....catsuit and all....that was amazing, wasn't it? Didn't know she had it in her....

y'now what would be cool? going back to the original console room. I'm talking Unearthly Child version with that big set piece above the console? That was a really cool design. In fact, I'm thinking it's only a matter of time before they do something like the the DS9 ep with T.O.S. Tribbles story. Maybe put the Doctor & companion into an old Hartnell story. That would be very cool....

The James Nesbitt story is a total fabrication. Made up. A fantasy. Just a guy sitting at a desk and just inventing stuff.

I wasn't going to say anything, but I'm getting embarrassed for the deeply wonderful Jimmy Nesbitt. So tell everyone please, cos it's getting very silly.

Don't forget the fold-out chaise lounges and the food cube dispenser!

imagine Wendy in the catsuit using the food dispenser.....and then reclining on the chaise lounge....

and I'll have to go look at the above Moffatt quote, that must be brand new! I wonder if that means Tennant's staying or if he's trying to deflect?

latest rumor is a pretty entertaining one, may very well get squashed as well but interesting as hell if you think about the possibilities like perhaps the character in question as a younger man, before some of his "accomplishments" in science.

Spoiler: show
The buzz is that they're talking about getting Ben Kingsly to play Davros. Now this could of course be rubbish but imagine The Doctor visiting the character much earlier in his life? I'm kinda hoping this is true and it's a pre-Daleks story.

Buffy is teh awesome. And that clip didn't even have any Willow in it. It's measurably 127% better when Willow's onscreen.

New promo pic with the Doctor and Donna -

Image

Am I correct in thinking Catherine Tate is the first companion actor on the TV show to be older than the actor playing the Doctor?

I like it.

I wonder if she's been measured for a catsuit?

I think you're right, Jim. She's also one companion who's probably not gonna get infatuated with him, if the Runaway Bride was any indication. And I think that'll be a nice contrast.
