I want Riggs to win, but my brain tells me Bourne would. At least the non-Chamberlain Bourne.

Neither has anything to lose, but Riggs is insane, and impervious to most physical pain. Riggs wins.

Sorry friend, but insanity doesn't win fights. Bourne seems to be able to kill guys like Riggs easily. Plus, I just watched Bourne Ultimatum this past weekend and am convinced that Bourne can kill almost anyone.

What? That's the determination I'm using this time. It's a real hard fight to decide.

I like the Riggs character better, and would want him to win against Bourne, but I think he'd lose in this fight. Yes, Riggs can kick some serious ass, but Bourne is more like some friggin super assassin... according to the movies portrayal of him maybe he's closer to being *superhuman (IMO, anyhow).

Fairer to pit him against Batman or Daredevil, something in that category.

Bourne is superhuman.

But Riggs is cooler and has a better character arch.

Advantage: riggs.

Shit! I'm consfused... I thought the vote was on who'd win in a fight. Damned challenge is who's tougher in the classic "toughguy" movie sense? Riggs, definitely. I'd say Bourne is just a trained robot in comparison, not actually a toughguy because he's made of stern stuff. Kinda a stale personality, I've thought (maybe that's just Matt Damon, though).

Ah well, I still voted for Riggs anyhow.

I asked in the Rocky thread. He said it was up to us, as either one makes a tough guy.

Riggs is tough, but Bourne wins this one, arguably in easy fashion. Bourne has taken on the CIA and assassins, survived some horrific crashes, survived after being dumped in the Mediterranean Sea, and Riggs, on the other hand, got slapped around by Gary Busey, and he always had a partner around to help.

Hmm...

Well, Galactus could kill Batman or Wolverine... but is he a better toughguy? You know. And Jet Li could kick Clint Eastwoods ass in hand to hand combat, but is a he a better toughguy?

I gotta disagree with it that winning a fight is the deciding factor.

Dude, is this even a real fight? Bourne punishes Riggs easily. I love Lethal Weapon, but Bourne is a juggernaut. He beat the friggin' CIA.

While I lean towards your view point. I think each person may have different definitions. That being said, at the end of the competition I am positive that we will have someone who can kick ass, and be cool doing it. (even though James Dalton is no longer in the running) I don't think there are any Galactus in this comp.

Oh yeah, I know. It's all cool and I agree with how that's how it'd prolly go, not disputing the challenge, but mostly just trying to figure out my own vote. Was just trying to illustrate my POV there as best I could; that was a good power vs. tough factor... and it wasn't easy to pick out comparisons so that one was intentionally exaggerated a bit.

It's just because he's too cool, Hawkeye. Mahoney is afraid of entering Galactus into the contest because he knows how it'd go down... it's a conspiracy.

I'm sure as soon as Galactus is in a movie he'll be in the competition.
