This has already been out a couple of weeks, but I thought it would appeal to those who us who grew up watching Saturday morning TV in the 1970s.
Shazam! fans may want to get this, as John Davey makes guest appearances on three episodes as Captain Marvel, the first official appearance of the live action Filmation version on DVD.
Curiously, the show is titled The Secrets Of Isis for this DVD set. I remember it being just Isis when it aired back in the seventies.
Special Features
Spotlight Interviews (two hours) with cast members and crew from "The Secrets of Isis": Producers Lou Scheimer and Richard M. Rosenbloom, stars Brian Cutler, Joanna Pang and Ronalda Douglas, writers David Dworski, Michael Reaves and David Wise, designer Bob Kline and Assistant Director Henry J. Lange Jr.
Audio Commentary Track for "Dreams of Flight" with Richard M. Rosenbloom, David Dworski and Henry J. Lange, Jr. Hosted by Andy Mangels
Rare Footage: Morals, Commercial Bumpers and Alternate Credits
Isolated Music And Effects Track for some episodes
Three Extensive Photo Galleries from "The Secrets of Isis": Promotional Photos, Behind the Scenes Photos, Memorabilia Photos
Bluewater Production's 22 page New "Legend of Isis" Comic Book
Bonus episode of Freedom Force starring Isis: "The Plant Soldiers"

I was reading about this set awhile back and the makers tried in vain to get some participation from Miss Cameron but she wouldn't get involved. I had to be 4 or 5 when that show first aired, and wow I found her to be quite hot back then haha.

Watch the scenes where Captain Marvel and Isis are together. You can just tell Cap just wants to Shazamm! her.
Apparently, Joanna Cameron had something better to do, which precluded her from participating in the production of the DVD set.

In case you or anyone else here is interested, the company who released the Isis set has also released the complete Jason of Star Command as well as Ark II. I watched all that stuff on Saturday/Sunday mornings as a kid.
I used to love Shazam! when I was a kid, but even then I was wondering why a teen who had those capabilities would spend the majority of his time riding across the country in an RV with a strange old man.

In this day and age, child services would have taken Billy away. And you have to admit that people were pretty trusting on that show - people would just take a ride in their winnebego and tell them their problems like it was nothing.
And did "Mentor" have a real name? And did they ever wash their clothes?? I mean, they wore the same outfits for three years!

I think Mentor kidnapped Billy and was using him for his own "purposes". Billy was young and needed the money, so that's why he didn't use his powers to kill Mentor. Also, I don't think they washed their clothes......inside sources tell me that they both had several copies of the same outfits, so they had a clean set whenever needed and they would only have to visit a laundromat once a month or so.

Speaking of cheesy/cool 70's shows, does anyone remember one called The Fantastic Voyagers, or something like that?
It was a sci-fi one where this black guy and a kid (played by the same one from the Escape from Witch Mt movies) meet up with this futuristic Doctor who uses a melodic pitch fork/ wand to heal and as a weapon. They also hook up with this hot babe who can change into a black cat.
They travel through trans-deminsional door ways to different worlds, always trying to find a way home. It was likean early version of Sliders. (IMO) and had some good 'ol 70's styles, writing and special effects.
If anyone knows the exact name, and any details, please let me know if it is available on DVD yet?
Thanks Rich

Is it "The Fantastic Journey"? I see it has one of the kids from the Witch Mountain films. I have a vague memory of this show. This link has pics plus plot points......

Incidentally I looked for a dvd release and I came up empty
Yeah Zane, that's it. Thanks a lot. It was 70's sci-fi chese but fun. I wish this one would hit DVD sometime soon. Hell, they just re-did Space 1999 for the 30th Ann with a new remastered box set. And it was the cheesiest.
Thanks again.
