Scott, you mention in your profile that you were banned from Pizza Hut for playing Yoko Ono 10 times... I have to hear the story, man, because in my senior year in high school (that's 1981 for those keeping score), the girl I was dating at the time and I used to go into our local Pizza Hut all the time, stock up on quarters, and hijack the jukebox by alternating playing "Shattered" by the Rolling Stones and "Kiss Kiss Kiss" by Yoko Ono while we wasted tons of money playing sit-down Galaxian.

We did this every night for a week until we were finally asked not to come back.

Exact same Yoko Ono song! I put in $5.00 and selected that song to play 20 or 25 times (it was either a quarter a song or five for a dollar). This was during the family dinner hour and I was the only one using the jukebox. It only played a half dozen times or so before the manager pulled the cord out from the wall. I complained loudly and demanded a refund. I was asked to leave and not come back.

Scott, you just reminded me -- I did the exact same thing after the aforementioned girl dumped me and I went there to bitch about it with her older sister! Only I played it 10 times in a row. The next time I went back, they'd removed the single from the jukebox.

Nowadays it'd be no fun 'cause jukeboxes are all CDs so you can find dozens of irritating songs on 'em. But in the early 1980s, thanks to John Lennon's demands, Yoko rose above all others when it came to clearing a room or getting the music shut down all together!

It was used by police departments to break up riots until the late 80s. It was declared 'cruel and unusual punishment' and barred from further police use.
