>> Tom Jones' career as the king of crooners has spanned over four decades. Like Sinatra, Elvis, or the Beatles, you can not define Tom by comparing him to anyone else, he is simply Tom Jones. So perhaps it is fitting that throughout his career he has always been drawn to the music of the Beatles, and his cover versions of the Fab Four have become classics in their own right. <<

Well, at least most of the tracks are actually Beatles songs!

Looks like an original '60s album cover, which gives me hope of more original Tom Jones album reissues.

Or maybe not, I just realize "Starting Over" is on there.

Can't say for sure, but a copy of this caught my eye at the Virgin Megastore in NYC the other night (great cover, isn't it?) and upon closer inspection, it looks like these are the frequently-licensed tracks from Tom's 1980s TV show repackaged yet again -- with a misleading, 1960s Tom cover. The licensor was "San Juan Music Group", a dead giveaway, and there are no track timings or other discographical info on the back cover. I'd love for somebody to prove me wrong, though, and I'd pick this comp up in a second, but my educated guess is that TOM SINGS THE BEATLES is far from vintage Jones!

Then it's not an original album. Tom Jones was on Decca/Deram in the '60s.
