A newly recorded Garbage single, "Tell Me Where It Hurts," will be included on an upcoming best-of collection, "Absolute Garbage." Due July 17 via Geffen, the CD/DVD combo includes 17 audio tracks on its first disc, a second disc with 14 remixes and a DVD with 15 music videos, live clips and behind-the-scenes footage.

Among the acts chipping in with remixes on the bonus disc are UNKLE, Massive Attack, the Crystal Method, Todd Terry and Felix Da Housecat.

Meanwhile, "Tell Me Where It Hurts" will arrive July 9 on two separate 7-inch vinyl singles -- one with the B-side "Bad Boyfriend (Sting Like a Bee remix)" and the other with "All the Good in This Life." The CD single sports the B-side "Betcha." A video for the new song, directed by Sophie Muller, began airing internationally last week.

Garbage has been on hiatus since 2005, although the group reunited in late January to play a benefit concert in Glendale, Calif. It is unknown if further activity is in the offing, as frontwoman Shirley Manson is moving forward with her first solo album.

I'm not a big fan, but I do like them so this sounds nice, but I don't need a second CD of remixes. Maybe there will be a single CD version later.

Not very clear at this point if the 2CD version includes the DVD videos.

I think it's absolutely criminal that my favorite Garbage song "Androgyny" only shows up as a remix and nowhere in its original form on the CD or on the DVD!

I bought all of it and am pleased, especially with the new track, "Tell Me Where It Hurts." Would have preferred the oft-promised b-sides collection as the bonus disc, but the mix disc is lots of fun. I love this band, but also suspect they are now history. Will make do with an expanded version of my own b-side compilation until the real thing is issued. Have to add "Betcha," the new b-side to the UK single for "TMWIH."

They're not history-they're touring to support this release, and they recorded 4 new songs. not just the one that appears here-the other 3 songs are expected to appear as bonus tracks on various CD singles and such.

The other new songs aside from "All The Good In This Life" and "Tell Me Where It Hurts" are called "Gotcha" and "Girls Talk Shit", though the latter may not surface for a while if at all.

Yep, I bought the 2-CD set and the DVD separately. Have not seen any combo package with all 3 dsics.
