While you are all scouring the Sunday papers for new releases force fed to us by the music indusry, looking for, hoping for that next album or song that you know has it and not having to convince yourself that it does but really doesn't, Dave Davies has just slipped a brand new powerhouse of an album by you. "Fractured Mindz". His first album of all new material since rehabilitating from his stroke.
If you are looking to wash away the bad taste of what is force fed to you, yes I mean you who have been "American Idolized", bought the music version of the latest Macburger and are caught up in the fast food side of the music industry causing you to have diahrea and indigestion, just take a hit of this album and see where the real deal is.
His album is available at http://www.davedavies.com hope it cures you!

P.S. Boycott American Idol and give "Endlesswire" another chance. If you have trouble getting into it, I suggest self medicate first :)

Jay

This album is going into general release via the Koch label on July 31st, and it will include a bonus track which wasn't on the version of the album released earlier this year via Dave's website:

From the Artist
"These are really challenging and exciting times to live in. I wanted to make an album that would be hopeful and inspiring yet raw and above all honest. I think with the use of positive imagination and creativity we can truly change the world for the better. Inspire and uplift. Entertain but still ask searching questions about our inner as well as outer lives.

"In this wonderful new era which is emerging, I believe we will finally be able to see through the lies, the crap that has surrounded us for hundreds, probably thousands of years, and to at last reveal our true essence. Our true souls. Our divinty. This is a time of revelation, a time of purification, a time of emancipation. Of liberation for the soul.

"Through music, energy and communcation, it's my job as a mystic, teacher, musician and entertainer to reveal. To heal, to help uplift and illuminate the mind and heart. Love, peace and oneness!"

As for his health, Davies says he's doing great and is "looking forward to the future with much optimism and anticipation.

Product Description
In any other band, Dave Davies would have been the star. But sharing the Kinks' stage--and a last name--with older brother Ray often exiled Dave to the background. Still, not even a near-fatal stroke in 2004 has kept him from dominating his sibling when it comes to solo records, Dave's latest a generally lo-fi list of the power anthems and folk-and-blues-rock that made his old band run like clockwork. On this, his first album in five years, the ever-witty and outspoken Davies has plenty to say, spewing anger against Bush and Blair in the rocking "Free Me." "What kind of man can take us to war with blood and murder for oil?" he demands over a grinding guitar circa Lola vs. Powerman. Kinks fans will likely find additional kinship with the pleasant pop of "Remember Who You Are" and "The Waiting Hours," as well as "Come to the River," which rides a monster blues riff that only Davies can brandish. The record even navigates into the experimental, including a spacey instrumental ("The Blessing") and the trippy spoken-word title song, new territory for a 60-year-old legend that clearly now rides anywhere but the backseat.

1. This Is the Time
2. Free Me
3. All About Me
4. Come To the River
5. Giving
6. Remember Who You Are
7. The Waiting Hours
8. Rock Siva
9. The Blessing
10. Fractured Mindz
11. Bonus Track: Goin' In My Brain
