I think the next Joker should be Mary Tyler Moore.

Don't know. One of the reasons I threw this up. Figured folks here might be able to have some more info on him. Apparently he's a fan favorite. I think they need to go with a lower profile guy like they did with Batman. I read one place, and think it was well stated, that when they cast Bruce/Batman they didn't get a star, they got an actor. I agree, and they need to do that again with the Joker.

He can do it. He was very good as Silas in "The Da Vinci Code". My favorite performance was as "Geoff" Chaucer in "A Knight's Tale".

You know, the notion of the Joker being portrayed as a Zodiac Killer-style serial killer with elements from the story of Batman #1/the recent "The Man Who Laughs" rewrite has strong appeal to me.

Something about Ledger's line delivery at the end of the trailer reminds me a lot of Jack Nicholson. I'm hoping that's just me, though.
