I picked this one up earlier this year, it will make you shake your tail feather!
Not sure what everyone will think of the mastering though, it seems to be sonically huge but lacking in details. Is this explained by compression? Not sure, has anyone else listened to this one closely? I don't know if I like it better than my earlier Fantasy, Mobile Fidelity or Japanese imports....

There was a rumor that Concord was folding. Does anyone have more recent info? That would be really disappointing because they were planning a long overdue multi-label career spanning Staples box set for late this year. I can imagine the early gut bucket gospel of Hank Williams' "Be Careful of the Stones That You Throw" standing comfortably with "I'll Take You There"!

Oh La De La!

I'm glad they're FINALLY putting out a William Bell best-of covering both Stax eras.

Hopefully, when they've put out stuff from their more popular artists, we'll get more from some of their lesser-known ones; (ie. Linda Lyndell, Johnny Daye).
