T'Pau: Live long and prosper, Spock.

Spock: I shall do neither. I have killed my favourite comic book writer ... and my friend.

Speaking of Slott, there's an interesting interview with him over at Comicon, mostly about GLA.

You know, I kinda liked issue one of GLA, but the more I ruminated about it, by the time issue two came out -- I wasn't interested.

I thumbed through issue two and just put it back on the shelf.

Haven't quite figured out why yet.

I was pissed about She-Hulk doing the nasty with Juggernaut, but that series turned out to be gold. I want to give it a little more time and see where all this is going before I make a false negative judgement again.

Besides, what other comic can you think of that can mention the Moon and monkeys without causing controversy?

Wasn't it Chuck Austen over in X-MEN that wrote the scene with the Juggernaut?

Dunno. I'm always getting stuff mixed up, so you're probably right.

Dan Slott has jumped the shark!

I’d picked up She-Hulk #1 as a possible read for my youngest daughter. Slott’s story portrayed She-Hulk as a party girl and showed her having a boyfriend spend the night in the Avenger’s mansion. I dropped the book right off. Little did I know that Slott was telling the story of Jen overcoming and the first issue was to demonstrate what she had to overcome.

That’s maybe what you’re remembering, Greg.

Also; I must have looked at that cover 5 times before I caught the GLA/Star Trek connection!

Yep, that one's a keeper! I didn't know before I read the Comicon interview that Squirrel Girl was a Steve Ditko character.

Ditko didn't write her, he just drew the story she showed up in.

Amazing to think that Squirrel Girl is the hottest character in Marvel Comics right now.

Mike, that link says that the story was plotted and drawn by Ditko and scripted by Will Murray. So there. :P

Kevin can sense these things. Like a disturbance in the Ditko-force.
