Description
The Jimi Hendrix Bold As Love boxsets offer a premium collector experience in a 4CD + Blu-ray package. Each set features 27 previously unreleased recordings from 1967, including demos and alternate takes, as well as television and radio performances. This deluxe edition includes the stereo and mono mixes for the Axis: Bold As Love album, all newly remastered by Bernie Grundman from the original flat master tapes. Both stereo and mono mixes are included in high-resolution 24bit/96kHz audio, as well as a newly created, immersive Dolby Atmos mix by Eddie Kramer and Chandler Harrod. A 36-page booklet rounds out the offering, filled with rare photos, detailed liner notes, and track-by-track insights. This release is ideal for Hendrix fans and vinyl enthusiasts looking for a definitive archival edition of one of Hendrix’s most iconic albums.

I'm very excited about this one.
From what I have read some of the unreleased tracks are from some tapes recently acquired from the estate of Trixie Sullivan who was the secretary of Jimi Hendrix manager the notorious Mike Jeffrey. The tapes were in excellent condition and completely unheard apparently.
I have to give Experience Hendrix credit for allowing the fans to hear this in good quality. I won't be surprised if they do the same for Are You Experienced in the future.

Just when I thought: ok, I think I got all the box sets I will get this year (unless some other steep drops on a few I am following) 'They suck me back in!' This is my personal fav of his studio albums.

Looks to me like it has the potential of being another top-flight Experience Hendrix product. The cover art is puzzling, but I can easily live with it.

According to the Hendrix site, most of discs 3 and 4 is previously unreleased. The "Sweden" tracks were on the Stages box set, so I'm glad they found a place for those in this century.
