I heard Moranis is coming out of retirement for this.

I think most of these people are by the sounds of it.

I'll probably give this a look. It couldn't be any worse than anything else that's currently in production.

Not sure how I feel about this; I love Brooks, and I love Star Wars, but doing a parody of what they've done recently feels like bullying. Unless he expands it out to include more generic sequel-itis.

It's been years since I saw the original one, but that seemed like a satire of science fiction films (and franchises) in general, so I'm hoping for more stuff in that vein. There's plenty of stuff to make fun of given the prequel trilogy, the more recent films and the TV shows so...well, I hope it's funny that's all.

I knew of it but never watched. Spaceballs, I saw in a theater, but also it was on almost every day on Cinemax of HBO
when those channels just started and had very little actual content. So I watched so it or parts of it so often that I got
burned out on it and would have never have sought out animated episodes afterward.

Oddly enough, this recent talk of a Spaceballs 2 has got me thinking I should watch the first movie again. It has to be
better than any of the real Star Wars stuff being made these days.
