This sucks. I liked his art a lot.

Sounds like he passed away from medical complications following a severe bout of pneumonia at the beginning of April. He was only 63, what a tragedy.

Fans of Marvel and DC in the 80s and 90s should be very familiar with his work. RIP, life ended far too early for you.

One of the reasons I liked Micronauts (back then) is it kept drawing talented artists whose work loved. We had Michael Golden, Pat Broderick, and Butch Guice.

Guice was great. I gravitated to his work when I first started reading comics in the Eighties. X-Factor and The Flash.

I'll second this. He was always consistently great. He was one of the unsung heroes of Marvel, IMO.

R.I.P. Butch.

I'm honestly shocked the latter two didn't get bigger careers based on their work on Micronauts. It's not quite there with Michael Golden but this looks like the short of art us 90s kids really responded to -- lots of rendering lines and high-tech costumes. Butch --
