Helloween's discography is so extensive that this should have been a 4 CD set.
What I would really like to see is a CD set that collects all of the b-sides/bonus tracks in one collection. I probably have all of the already, but it still would be nice to have them all in one release. There is so much there that it would probably be a 3 CD set.

Call me a late-comer but I don't know a thing about these guys other than who they are. Is their stuff good? Also, who can they be compared to music-wise?

They are very good. Maybe the first power metal band. Think Blind Guardian without all the medieval aspects. Uptempo stuff with lots of double bass drumming and big choruses. No death metal vocals.
This comp is not a bad place to start, but I would recommend starting with The Keeper of the Seven Keys Part 1 and The Keeper of the Seven Keys Part 2. Those were released in 1987 and 1988. Only ones to avoid are Pink Bubble Go Ape and Chameleon. Pink Bubbles does have some good songs on it, so that one is not a complete waste, but Chameleon is a piece of shit.
