Fragile Records in association with Esoteric Recordings are pleased to announce the release of a new 4-disc clamshell box set ‘AN EVENING OF YES MUSIC PLUS’, the classic live recording by ANDERSON, BRUFORD, WAKEMAN, HOWE.

At the close of the 1980s, fans of progressive rock were delighted and surprised to learn that former members of Yes, namely Jon Anderson, Bill Bruford, Rick Wakeman and Steve Howe were reuniting to record a studio album and to tour the world. The resulting self-titled studio album was originally issued on Arista Records in 1989 and was a global hit. This release was followed by a hugely successful world tour.

A concert at the Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California was captured both on video and in sound resulting in both a double CD and a long form video in 1993. The set features classic Yes material alongside live renditions of material from the ABWH self-titled album.

This new remastered edition features the entire concert on two CDs, and also includes the full concert video on a region free DVD. Also included is an additional region free DVD, ‘In the Big Dream’, featuring promotional videos and interviews.

This still isn’t complete after all these years.

Songs are missing and the shame of it is, the Tony Levin/Bill Bruford stick/drum duet is absent because Tony missed this show with food poisoning.

The show was good, but it wasn’t the same because Jeff Berlin filled in on very short notice.

The tracklist for this set, if correct, is a real head-scratcher, with missing songs on both the CD *and* DVD as compared to previously released versions.

The 2CD version that I have (Fragile Records Ltd) does not contain "I've Seen All Good People" or "Starship Trooper", which this new version claims to have.

To clarify, the original 1993 CD release omitted "I've Seen All Good People" and "Starship Trooper". The 1994 reissue included the latter, although appended to the end of Disc 1 rather than its proper location as the final performance of the evening. "I've Seen All Good People" was not available on CD until the 2006 reissue, which also restored "Starship Trooper" to the encore slot.

However, claims of featuring "the complete concert on 2 CDs" are incorrect, as "The Meeting" is not included, and in fact has NEVER been on any CD version of this title.

Meanwhile, the DVD in this set apparently omits both "The Meeting" and "Starship Trooper", which have been included on various video releases dating from the original 1993 Japanese laserdisc all the way through the 2022 box set on Takeaway Records.

Besides “The Meeting” this is also missing “Sweet Dreams” which I still have from the original PPV broadcast.

If concerned, wait until closer to the release date and see if Fragile/Esoteric revises the announced tracklist (which they have occasionally done with past releases).

This is another item that became a backorder on the day of release, although AmazWAN has it available from the UK and Japan with a delivery window starting in 3 weeks. I'm wondering if it will eventually get a US release. I'm not in a rush to get my hands on it, but it's frustrating to look forward to the release date and then...nothing.

For imports, regardless what release date is listed at Amazon USA, we should always expect it to arrive at least one week after it's been released in the UK.

That's true, Linda, but recently it seems like imports don't become available here for weeks or months (just like that Alan Parsons Project blu-ray, which I eventually ordered & received directly from the artist's website). Even if I order this ABWH set from Amazon UK, it's showing as "Usually dispatched within 1 to 2 months" so who knows when it will actually be available.

I also just noticed that it's listed as "Out Of Stock" on the Cherry Red website (the label releasing it), so I assume there must have been some kind of manufacturing issue.

I place my order with Amazon on December 12th, they sent me a notice it was on backorder last week. will have to wait till March for it.
but today they charged me, and shipped this set to me. will take a week to get, according to tracking.

I ordered it today via AmazWAN from a UK seller and it already shipped .It's supposed to arrive by Feb.15. I used Visa rewards so it ended up costing me nothing.

I got my copy last week and already played the first DVD. I used to have the concert on VHS and it was nice to see it again. The video quality is fine (no noticeable upgrades) and the stereo mix is good. The package is also nice. I think this has the same content as the 2022 box set release on Takeaway Records without all the extra packaging ephemera.

According to this, the DVD does apparently include "The Meeting" and "Starship Trooper".

Can you confirm if the second DVD actually includes the live version of "Heart Of The Sunrise"?

The second DVD does NOT include "Heart Of The Sunrise" even though it's listed on the outer packaging and inner sleeve. It's not listed on the DVD menu. The "In The Big Dream" mini documentary is just under 23 minutes long and features some interviews, behind-the-scenes footage and mostly awful late-'80s music videos for the other songs listed on the package.

Note that "Heart Of The Sunrise" IS included as part of the concert on the first DVD, which runs just under 2 hours 23 minutes.
