Early George Clinton project. Sounds very Sly and the Family Stone at this point. This is a 2 CD set, issued in a 7" gatefold jacket..

Best Of Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame + Museum Live
CD2

Found a copy of this and have wanted a few of the performances. Some good stuff, some weird forced combinations of musicians. Enough good stuff to make it worthwhile for me.

Today's Bob Dylan and the Band- The 1974 Live Recordings discs are CD11, CD12 & CD13.
I'm amazed at how much he can change the songs from performance to performance. And the Band, particularly Hudson, Manuel and Danko, do a great job of adding nice embellishments to the arrangements.

Neil Young Archives Vol. III 1976 - 1987

I'd debated whether I was in for this or not. I found a copy in a local record store cheaper than online and got a free Neil Young hoodie with it. Those free record store promotional items are always nice.

Two new record stores in town in recent weeks. There goes my money!

Listening to another CD from the set. Still haven't worn the hoodie.

Genesis- The Lamb Lies Down on Broadway
With the news of the upcoming deluxe box, I am revisiting the album since over the last few decades I have lost interest in this album which I didn't feel has aged as well as Trespass, Nursery Cryme, Foxtrot and Selling England by the Pound.
Heck, I even prefer From Genesis to Revelation! So I'll see if my opinion's changed again.

WAR The World Is A Ghetto was a top selling album upon its release in 1973. This set is a unique creation overseen by original producer Jerry Goldstein that includes the original album, and then each of the six songs from the original album in the original jam recordings, so fans can hear how Jerry curated the final songs from the original recorded jams. Upon its vinyl release last year, Pitchfork rated it an 8.8 (out of 10) and stated that the bonus material "...of in-studio jams suggests they might have rivaled Herbie Hancock’s Headhunters as one of funk’s greatest groups of improvisers."

Danny Elfman - Summer School Original Soundtrack
Limited Edition of 500 CDs
Extra Tracks (but still very short!!!)
Fun early Elfman score. His style is already pretty distinctive, though some of the pieces have more of an '80s production sound than he normally utilized. If you buy albums based on quantity over price (less than 17 minutes), you won't be happy with this. If you want a hard to find Elfman soundtrack you should be happy.

Max Webster was a pretty popular band in Canada, though lead singer Kim Mitchell had far greater success on his own after the breakup of the group.

Currently playing The Motels- Essential Collection. Saw them opening for the Cars on the Panorama tour and they were a pretty laid back bunch, but I've always loved Martha Davis's voice and they had some great songs.
