Sounds good. I see that it has already been released on vinyl for Record Store Day, and Amazon shows the mp3's available for preorder. I really hope it will be released on CD as well.

It will definitely be released on CD (and red vinyl, for those so inclined!):

The CD is still listed as unavailable at AmazWan. Having no patience, I ordered it yesterday direct from Sun Records and it has already shipped.
The downside = $8.00 shipping.

I got an email from TalkShop live that they have an event tom'w w/the guys selling signed copies (vinyl and CD). All they have listed so far is bundles w/T-shirts, and they're all sold out. I'll take a peek tom'w, but this is looking more and more like I may have to resort to locals first.

Yeah, jamming to it now. A bit quiet audience sound. Maybe a lack of mics? But the band sound is spot on.

Right?
I admit it has been a while since I listened to America, but the quality of their vocals and the sound of the band, it compares to the studio re quality. Very pleased I picked this up. One of the pleasant surprises (to me) re items I picked up this year (more so as this 'genre' is not one of my typical go-tos - though their was the 'comparison to Neil Young' while I quasi understand it, I don't consider NY Acoustic to be the same 'genre' per se). Should I cut down the coffee? I think so.

I had a bit of a listen to this last night. The vocals are stunning. I saw America in a small pub show in Melbourne around 1991 and they were brilliant then. Any idea who mixed this CD ?

taxes and shipping added nearly $10 to the price.

i am really tired of shipping being used to make more money on products........amazon, discogs and most retailers seem to be doing this more and more lately.

i know that media mail is no more than $4 for US to US.......when they start doubling that it gets a little shady.

and discogs......fuck them, almost everyone on that site charges $10 or more for shipping.
