Description
For the first time, all the Eel Pie live shows have been compiled in one place; to create an expanded Complete Live Albums 14-CD Set. The albums in the set have been newly mastered by long-time Who engineer Jon Astley, and haven’t been available since 2000.

In tribute to this release, the set will feature rare artist photos and memorabilia in an expanded packaged 28-paged book. The set will also contain sleeve notes by archivist Matt Kent with a new exclusive interview from Pete Townshend.

Amazon USA says that the new release date will be October 4th, and the box will be pre-orderable again soon.

The Canada link in the first post is already active and shows the new date. The UK link, while also active, still shows tomorrow (July 26th).

As I noted when this was first announced, I ordered this elsewhere and wasn't able to cancel. Good thing - it arrived today.

Have to say, particularly with the recent box sets announcements, many that are 'gotta have' I started to review previous pre-orders to determine if I REALLY need them (example: Mind Games - I listened to the album a number of times before the release. Some GREAT songs - title is in my top 5 of his solo - but generally, the album was so-so, so you got to go). Pete's was one that I was on the fence about (particularly after Faces and Rory box's became absolutes). The fact that I have the box to stream while the Amazon US (or US?) figures out its release date...I have to keep the order.
So far, about 1/2 way through, it is fantastic. The Psychoderelict tour item does suffer the same as the album (all those 'acting interludes' between great songs does grow old fast - and definitely not repeat listening. It seems they may not be always separately indexed, hope that's not the case, but can judiciously edit them out when I extract to flac). And I was not too thrilled to see that the last two shows are basically the same show just diff days with a couple song swaps, but really liking this a lot. So it stays.
