OK, after seeing some of the trailers for the upcoming Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy film I've become worried about it. Really Really Worried about it.

I wanna like it but I'm not holding my breath. The trailers haven't really impressed me but I'll probably go this weekend to see it.

I don't know how Adams' humor could be captured in a trailer, so the trailers don't worry me. I'm really looking forward to this.

I’ve already conceded that the movie cannot be as good as the books, of course, and it probably won’t even be as good as the BBC series.

I am seeing it opening weekend and am looking forward to the movie (with reservations.)

The BBC review contained the following:

"... somewhere in the production process the crew has lost sight of the fundamental aspect of the books - they were immensely funny."
