Toy Biz has teamed up with Upper Deck this year on a new project: Marvel Super Hero Showdown. The game will feature 4” superposeable figures of classic Marvel characters. Due to debut in June, and initially available only through Diamond and at Toys ‘R’ Us stores, there will be 2 starter sets (Wolverine & Hulk or The Thing & Spider-Man) that will include 2 figures and everything you need to set up a one-on-one battle.

To expand the universe, 2 different Battle Booster assortments will also be available this summer, adding in Captain America, Ghost Rider, Iron Man, the Human Torch, and more. Play will be affected by how the figures are posed – a defensive stance will give a defensive advantage, a fighting stance will give an offensive advantage, and so on. But even if you’re not looking to play the game, these are great little figs.
