Celebrate the 50th anniversary of The Joker. J50: The Evolution of The Joker, curated by Steve Miller, highlights 27 previously unreleased demos, live performances, studio outtakes and rehearsals from Miller's personal archive, including 8 never-before-heard songs. Miller also provides narration guiding the "evolution" of the songs from The Joker.

The 2CD set includes liner notes from both Steve Miller & Anthony DeCurtis and classic photos.

This looks like a perfect reissue. Only 2 CDs long. Decent price. A complete mashup of different items including commentary I am looking forward to this.

Got to hand it to Steve for actually giving a crap, and not going the traditional remaster-plus-appended-bonus-tracks route. He knows we all have the album already, and he's giving us a new bit of product. And, we can program out the commentaries after a listen. Other artists should take notice.

I really enjoyed this. The Joker is definitely Steve Millers moment of growth and start of several classic albums.
