So glad this is coming out as this band has been nearly forgotten (not by me though); their second album won the Grammy for best album in 1970 even over Abbey Road. Was always one of those bands where few albums have the same players, though some amazing players have gone through the ranks. When I started playing drums in 1970 Bobby Colomby was my main influence; he's still my favorite drummer. This clip sounds great so I'm looking forward to getting this.

Note that there are two releases associated with this film; one is the original score (seems to be incidental music); and the other contains BS&T live recordings from 1970.

It's interesting that you should say this as this is a group that (despite me being a big fan of late 60's early, 70's music, though only an infant at the time) has completely flown under my radar. Quite coincidentally I checked them out earlier today after seeing them listed in a list of Album of the Year Grammy winners. I had heard of them of course, but I had not (as far as I can recall) ever heard them!
I wonder would they have had a longer lasting impact had they appeared in the Woodstock movie? (Not that it hurt Neil Young's career.)

Depending on your age when they were popular, their biggest hits were on the pop side of rock; though they went a number of more progressive directions, also.
