So I have been dabbling with this app and getting used to reading while scrolling vertically. Anyone using this? Almost seems like this is how digital comics should have gone, with being phone centric and having comments for interactivity and building a community

Sounds awful. I don't want a community with me while I read. Actually, I don't want a community at all.

Go where the audience is, and almost everyone carries around a smartphone these days. And honestly, the current periodical model is too expensive, too niche, and too impractical (it was a different story when they were considered as disposable as a newspaper or magazine). I like the idea of getting back to a non-collectors market. I used to follow Lore Olympus ( https://www.webtoons.com/en/romance/lor ... 320&page=1 ) with this but I haven't been keeping up. It looks like the printed collections are up to Vol. 5 though - https://www.amazon.com/s?k=Lore+Olympus ... =sr_nr_n_4

And it is a different format than the collected editions too which makes it great as a different option too. As for collector's, I struggle with it as a part of me thinks it's good, brings in people, and another things it ends up leading to busts.

Webtoons, no idea but in general, new readers and growth
