Zappa ’80: Mudd Club/Munich combines two historical performances from the spring/summer 1980 band. The first is from a set at FZ’s favorite NYC nightclub – the famous Mudd Club. Presented from a hi-res transfer of the original master tape. The second, from Olympiahalle in Munich, is the first ever live direct to digital stereo recording of Zappa. Mastering by Bernie Grundman, 2022. Photography and memoir from George Alper, with liner notes from Arthur Barrow, Steve Vai, Vaultmeister Joe Travers.

Odd they got Vai to comment on this as he wasn't on the band yet. Would've been nice to hear from Logeman and/or Mars on this tour.
Logeman gets raked over the coals for not being as virtuoso as Vinnie or Terry, but he works just fine for the type of tour this was with the main focus on silly songs. Real plus here are Zappa's extra crunchy guitar solos. I'd love to see Europe '79 and Italy '82 sets.

Well, this is new - release date of 3/31, my pre-order gives me an estimated delivery date of 4/4. I wonder if they've finally adjusted the algorithms.

Amazon updated the release date to 3/3, which matches everywhere else, and now my delivery date has been updated to 3/7. I almost canceled and ordered elsewhere, but procrastination pays off again!
