Not as often these days.
The Computer Wore Tennis Shoes wasn't a thriller... but look at how they're selling it...
The Cat From Outer Space doesn't talk in this trailer...
Now, the one they did for The Black Hole makes sense because that was a serious movie, but these are comedies. I'll let you guys find the one they did for the Shaggy DA.

Whoever cut those together was clearly having fun.
I think it's smart to try to preserve some of a film's secrets for the streaming audience, especially if it's fifty year old. Someone attracted by that trailer will probably stick around once they're pleasantly surprised by the cat's speaking role.

Makes me wonder what other vintage movies would look like with modern trailers.
I can already see the trailer for William S. Hart's 1915 western "Hell's Hinges." "One man, against the baddest town in the West--and they don't stand a chance!" With images of the whole town burning down at the climax, an appropriate Johnny Cash song on the soundtrack, and Hart announcing that the town of Hell's Hinges has lived up to its name is about to get its reward. Seriously, that movie was like a Clint Eastwood western made 60 years ahead of its time.
Those trailers are a good reminder that some of those old Disney comedies also had a fair amount of action and excitement for the younger set.
