https://www.amazon.com/dp/B0BL9HKN2C/?tag=imwan-20 Description Released in May 1972, Honky Château is the fifth studio album by Elton John, which includes singles "Rocket Man" and "Honky Cat." Named after the eighteenth century Château d'Herouville outside Paris where it was recorded, this 50th anniversary edition contains the original album and a newly created selection of outtakes from the original session tapes. This 2CD format additionally contains eight live recordings from the Royal Festival Hall show in 1972, where the tracks receive their live debut, just a few days after being recorded at the Château. Includes an 40-page booklet containing rare photos, memorabilia and an essay featuring interviews from those who were there at the time.Tracklist [CD1]Honky Château: 1. Honky Cat 2. Mellow 3. I like that it's just a simple 2 CD set. I'm getting box set overload.

Agreed, The novelty of surround sound has worn off on me. Just give me a well-mastered CD set and I'm happy with that.

Some surround is necessary..... like anything by Pink Floyd. When I bought The Later Years box, I was astounded at the surround on The Division Bell.

I just got this set and like it. I put the first disc in my computer and my media player showed the album and song titles in Japanese. On the second disc, they were in English. The sticker on the wrapper said the CDs were made in Germany, for whatever that's worth. Very strange.

Pink Floyd's surround mixes are always great, but I'll give any new surround mix a listen or two and then I never go back.
It was a thing for me for quite a while and now...the thrill is gone, I guess.
I much prefer a well-mastered stereo -- or even mono -- mix these days.

Since we hear in surround, I guess the novelty of having ears has worn off on you?
