Every once in a while I will glance at some comic book "news" sites to see what's up and almost every time I regret it. Painful writing, all from personal feelings, lacking any journalistic integrity.

And, they just don't get it that these books are meant for kids and the kid within us all. NONE of the tropes of superheroes makes sense, and every attempt to make them "realistic" just show an utter immaturity.

I'm glad your example was CBR, because that's the site I was coming here to mention as being the worst.

80% top ten lists.
19% poorly researched (if at all) articles of opinion presented as fact
1% fun reads.

I really, really dislike CBR.

CBR was great about 20 years ago, Some fantastic columnists like Gail Simone and Steven Grant, and really good content.

All clickbait now, sadly.

As bad as Wizard could be at times it was good for comics in my opinion. These other sites not so much.

Well, yeah, in order to read Wizard you had to actually go to a comic shop.

Wizard started out ok and made comics cool and pumped up the industry but soon started going downhill with their arrogance.
CBR sucks. I do miss Amazing Heroes and Hero Illustrated.

Comics Scene was good and David Anthony Kraft's Comics Interview was good, too.
