Today's thought:

What was up with that narration at the start of X-Men 140, with Colossus struggling to rip that tree trunk out of the ground? That should have been f*cking EFFORTLESS. Has anyone ever noticed this before?

And why did Peter David pass out those art pages that spoiled Guardian's death?

Actual thought for today:

The final episode of "Seinfeld" is an excellent, fitting finale to the series. Larry David is brilliant.

The first half of the finale was classic. It fell off in the second half but still better than most critics wrote.

Remember, Seinfeld is Life.

A Dootcentric thread is what the fans have been crying out for.

We need all the Doot content, all the time - complete, unexpurgated and appropriately labelled.

I'm waiting for the next batch of in-depth Wild Cards spoilers to show up here.

I could post my Ultimate Wild Cards Timeline in this thread, and keep it out of the Wild Cards thread so that no one would be spoiled ...

I do dig it, though.

One thing I've realized after rewatching them all lately is that the drop-off in quality after Larry David left at the end of Season 7 ... steep. So, so steep.

The finale was such a breath of fresh air after enduring those last few episodes in season 9, where things had gotten... pretty dire. Pret-tay, pret-tay, pret-taayyyy dire.

Finale is the only episode I flat out don’t like.

Absurd.

Not a huge fan of the finale myself.

I do have this one concept that I think could be hilarious: about four New Yorkers who get arrested for not obeying the "Good Samaritan" law. There's a trial, lots of witnesses called .... the way I'm picturing it, it could be a laugh riot.

That's sounds good for a new series, just not to close off an existing one.

You know, because that way I can just skip it and not feel that I lost out on my previous investment in the series.

Daredevil trivia. When did various significant characters learn (definitively) that Matt and Daredevil were the same guy?

(Only counting the times when it really stuck and the status quo was changed -- not times when DD put the genie back in the bottle with "twin brother"-styled shenanigans.)
